Clearly, I am NOT good at keeping up with this blog.  I guess it's okay if I update every eight months or so, ha ha.  We have been so busy the last few months, I just haven't found the time!

Our year started out sadly, as we lost our dear Grandma Shirley.  She passed away a bit unexpected on February 1st.  She was such an amazing lady.  We will forever be touched by her great wisdom, example, her witty jokes and sense of humor, her love for us and for the gospel of Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed.

In March we welcomed another beautiful daughter into our family. ~ Catherine Anne ~ was born on March 21, 2014, at 3:39pm, healthy and strong, weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches long, with a full head of dark brown hair.

She was named after Will's great-grandma Catherine Van Leeuwen. Anne after my mother, grandma, and great-grandmother (all middle names of Ann, we added an "E" to make it her own). My mom came out to stay with us to help out for two and a half weeks.  We had fun visiting, playing, and it was sad to say goodbye.  She left with Karen and Andy, as they drove back to Virginia!

Some more BIG changes for our family.....in April we listed our house for sale. So far we have had good feedback on our house.  It will be sad to say good-bye to our first home, but we're excited to start a new adventure. We are planning to buy Grandma Shirley's house.  We are very excited to have her house stay in the family.  It will be fun to be closer to Will's family (only living a few streets over), so that we can walk or bike over with the girls!  They will love being so close to Grandpa Craig and Nana Liz too!

We are planning another trip to Virginia this fall...not sure when we might make the big adventure.  It will be more expensive and difficult with two little ones, but we really want to come back and visit! I might even bring the girls and Will might meet us a few days later...we'll see if that's what will happen.  Hopefully mommy is up to the challenge of traveling with two little girls alone!

Here are some of the fun things we have been up to...

Life is busy, life is happy, and we wouldn't change a thing!
Hope you're having as much fun as we are!

Expect another update in eight months or so!
