Tests, tests, and more tests...

After having a heartbreaking miscarriage in February, over a month later, I was still having complications.  I contacted my doctor and they recommended I go in each week (until the symptoms resolved themselves) and have a blood draw, to check my hormone levels until they are back at zero.

I was not happy about this at all.  I HATE to have my blood drawn. I once had a nurse stick me a half a dozen times to try to insert an IV and I've never been able to stand having my blood drawn since.

I was hoping there was another way, but sadly, this was it.  I sucked it up and went to the doctor.  This week makes blood draw #5.

After over six weeks of dealing with complications from the miscarriage, my doctor decided I should have a second ultrasound "to see what is going on in there".  This is when I started to panic a little.  Was there something seriously wrong with me now???  Would I need surgery?  Would I be okay? Could I have more babies one day? Ahhhh!!!

Not to mention the cost of a second ultrasound...we're into this over a thousand dollars now ($1,000+!!!) and with no baby at the end, it really doesn't seem fair at all.

I know, I know, sometimes life isn't fair...but still.

We proceeded with the second ultrasound.

There is GOOD news after all!!! My hormone levels are back down and my body should be back to normal soon (finally!).

We appreciate all of the happy thoughts, prayers, love and support from family, friends, and sweet hospital/doctor's office staff during this difficult time.

We know that things happen for a reason and with the help of the Lord and those around us, we will be able to get through them.

One day soon we hope to add to our little family ;-)

Getting ready for the big Easter egg hunt...

We have had lots of fun preparing Reagan for Easter egg hunts this year.
She LOVES looking for hidden eggs and asks to "find eggs" daily.
It was warm enough last week, so we went outside to hide Easter eggs.
Here is a video of her looking for the eggs.
Notice how she squeals with delight when she sees one!

Bowling!!!
(March 16th)

We decided to meet up with Andy and Karen and go bowling.
This is Reagan's very first time bowling and it appears she's a natural!

Reagan's very first bowl...she got a spare! Awesome!

Fun at the park...
(March 15th)

With the weather being so warm we headed off to the park!
Reagan had so much fun.  It was fun to see her big smiles!

Off to the Zoo!
 (March 14th)

We decided to get out and enjoy the lovely,
warm weather (60-70's!) while it lasts.

We met up with some friends and went off to the zoo.

After, we stopped at the best yogurt place in town!

Love that happy face!

We have been so busy lately...

here's a little update on what we've been up too.

~ Wheeler Farm ~
 (March 13th)

We have this great farm about five minutes from our house.  It's free to go see the animals.  They also have wagon rides and other activities.

Reagan's new favorite thing is to pet or touch anything
she can reach.  She will say "pet it" and stroke it gently
on the head.  Sometimes it's her baby doll or the dog.

Either way, she's happy.

Reagan spends the day with auntie Ka and uncle Andy!

Today, Reagan spent a few hours with two of her favorite people:
auntie 'Ka' and uncle Andy!

(L-O-V-E that face!!!)

It was FINALLY warm enough to get outside and play, so they went to Wheeler Farm and saw the animals (Reagan's favorite thing to do!).  She played guitar with uncle Andy, enjoyed chocolate milk and cookies while watching Phineas and Ferb, and finished the day with a nap!

What a fun day!

Dad and Mom welcomed the break.
Thank you Andy and Karen!
